Established in 1996 by James Boyce and Andrew Varga, Unique Recordings was created with it's roots in the heart of the underground revolution. Inspired by the music, this company continues to have the same values as it leaps into the new millennium.

Originally called Unique Music, this company began promoting 400-500 person events like"Summer Of Love" ('97 South Bend IN) and "To Infinity And Beyond" ('97 South Bend IN) and grew to host larger 900-1200 person events like "Numbers" ('98 Chicago IL), "Stay Up Forever"('00 Madison WI) and "Welcome To The Machine" ('01 Chicago IL). These events featured artists such as Kimball Collins, Chris Liberator, DDR, Phantom 45, Dimitri from Amsterdam, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Danny the Wildchild, Jes One with Unique residents Groove Champion aka Brandy James and DJ
Dan Efex.

As the company grew, it's focus turned toward it's music productions at Evolution Studios. Unique Music eventually evolved into Unique Recordings in 2001. Unique is home to recording artists Groove Champion aka Brandy James and DJ Dan Efex.

Unique Recordings is proud to announced it's first vinyl release on May 2006 from Groove Champion. Groove Champion's debut single features tracks "Desire" and "Changes". These two tracks are the light and dark side of Groove Champion. From "Desire" with it's dark pounding beats and deep echoing voice to the uplifting sound of "Changes" with it's rolling snare builds and soothing vocal loop. Both songs are energetic dance floor tracks that are sure to be big in 2006.
